Gore Girls are a musical meeting of the Stooges
and The Ronettes. The Gals of Gore deliver what other
contemporaries can't— a powerful, girl-group sound
you can rock out AND dance to. An R&B and punk rock
union made in heaven! Gore Gore Girls' simple, straight-forward
take on hip shakin' rock 'n' roll numbers with low-fi
sensibility makes them noteworthy and original. Influenced
by equal parts Kinks, Stooges and Marvelettes, Gore
Gore Girls know how to deliver caustic yet sweet pop
numbers in an original girl-group style.

Gore Girls 2004 is guitarist/songwriter and lead vocalist
Amy Surdu, "ghost of Keith Moon" Nikki Styxx
on drums, charm school reject Marlene Hammerle on guitar
and beauty pageant darling Jen "The Deuce"
Pirch on bass. Four girls from Detroit with a penchant
for Rock 'n' Roll and an obsession with B-movie culture,
Gore Gore Girls deliver a sensory shocking live show
that has to be seen to be believed...

Amy
Gore started GGG in Detroit based on her love of primal
rock 'n' roll and girl groups of the '60s. Her hopes
and dreams revolve around her Gretsch White Falcon,
liquid eyeliner and the perfect beehive. She idolizes
Lady Bo, Dolly Parton and Susan Cabot. Turn-on's are:
William Castle films, prime rib, and Gretsch guitars.
Turn offs are: solid state amps, daytime TV, superstores,
and most everything on FM radio. |

Marlene
started playing guitar in junior high on a dollar model
Epiphone she bought at a garage sale. She later perfected
her skills while in reform school and after acquiring
her famous '64 Gretsch. Keeping the larger inmates at
bay with Joan Jett and Stooges songs, Marlene earned
a passionate following of female delinquents from all
over Michigan. She can now be found preaching the gospel
of rebellion through her '65 Fender Bassman on stage
with Gore. |

The
Deuce is unafraid of an excess of hair. Rumors circulate
that she lets wild dogs run with her wigs at night to
achieve the exact degree of un manageability she desires
on stage. The petite blonde loves the Shirelles, Don Covay,
and her cherry red Burns of London bass (the Deuce just
took possession of a new Gretsch prototype for GGG's upcoming
tour). |

Don't
let Ms. Nikki Styxx's small stature fool you, she's
a miniature Hammer of Thor crossed with the ghost of
Keith Moon. Styxx enjoys the Cadieux Cafe on Mondays,
a young David Gilmour, ROOS, 1967, Axis: Bold As Love
and dogfights. Styxx is currently accepting applications
for a drum tech, requirements are: blonde, 6', English
as a first language not necessary, must handle a cape. |
