Multi-platinum selling artists Good Charlotte released Cardiology, their fifth studio album, on Tuesday.

Produced by Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne), Cardiology is the follow-up to 2007’s Good Morning Revival, which debuted in the top 10 in 13 countries, including the United States.

“It’s kind of a reintroduction,” Joel Madden told Billboard.com. “It’s not like anything we’ve ever done, and definitely not a continuation of Good Morning Revival,” though he told Billboard.com that “there are some elements of that record on this record.”

The reintroduction received high praise from Alternative Press, which awarded Cardiology four out of five stars.

Good Charlotte are multiplatinum scene superstars, but Cardiology might just be their best effort yet,” wrote Alternative Press.

“Like It’s Her Birthday” was named one of the “Hot Singles” by People magazine. Its video is in rotation on MTV Hits, MTV2, mtvU and FUSE. Watch it below and check out Benji Madden on his Gretsch White Falcon.

Neon Trees Add Intimate Club Run

Posted:

Alt-rock band Neon Trees has added a two-week intimate U.S. club run this November.

“I don’t want a single barrier blocking us from you, and I wanna sing sing sing our hearts out and make some history this November,” writes frontman Tyler Glenn in his Oct. 29 website post to fans.

The lead singer also promised low-priced tickets, new merch and a freshly shorn head each night. Neon Trees will be supported on the tour by New Politics and Young The Giant.

Watch their video below for new single “1983.” Although the video takes the Neon Trees back to the ’80s with references to hit movies like Big and Lost Boys, there’s nothing outdated about bassist Branden Campbell’s sleek Gretsch White Falcon Bass.
