Scars on 45 lead guitarist Matt Baxter recently stopped the Gretsch Artist Showroom to check out some guitars, and he took a shine to a 1962 Gretsch Country Gentleman.

Scars on 45 has their self-titled debut album due out April 10. Check out the band’s official website for more information and a full list of upcoming tour dates.

With Jack White’s solo album due out April 24, the White Stripes and Dead Weather veteran rocked Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
White offered two performances from Blunderbuss (Third Man/Columbia), a groovy new song called “Love Interruption” and a classic White stomper “Sixteen Saltines.”

Gretsch artist Lynda Kay will be appearing on the March 6 episode of Justified on FX. Kay will be performing her song “Jack and Coke.” For a look at what is in store, here’s Kay performing the same song acoustically (and exclusively) on one of our new Gretsch Rancher acoustics.

Tim Armstrong recently sat down with Guitar Center’s host Nic Harcourt for an exclusive podcast.
In the hour-long session, Armstrong opens up about his legendary punk rock career with bands such as Operation Ivy, Rancid and The Transplants, and he even performs a few acoustic gems from his prolific catalog.
In addition, Armstrong and his signature Gretsch were also featured in the March edition of the Guitar Center newsletter, which you can sign up for here.
