Ryan Adams recently checked into the Gretsch Post from his PAX AM studios in Hollywood, having just released a 15-disc live box set this summer.
Live After Deaf chronicles the 15-date tour through Europe in June of 2011 that marked Adam’s return to live performance. Sandwiched between the completion of his acclaimed Ashes & Fire and its October 2011 release, the shows were the first of a solo acoustic tour featuring Adams performing to arguably the best reviews of his career.

Having released thefearofmissingout earlier this year, thenewno2 has dropped an intimate music video for “Wide Awake.”
The band worked with photographer Steven Sebring, who won best cinematography at Sundance for his film about Patti Smith titled Dream of Life.
Sebring filmed thenewno2 playing the song live, interspersing shots of the individual artists with their gear.

Gretsch artist and Sheffield, England native Richard Hawley has made the shortlist for the Barclaycard Mercury Album of the Year with Standing at the Sky’s Edge. The former member of Britpop band Pulp is considered a frontrunner to win the prestigious award.
The 12 finalists were announced on Wednesday by BBC TV and radio presenter Lauren Laverne at London’s The Hospital Club.
