Frightened Rabbit Takes Over Musical Duties on Conan

Scottish indie rockers Frightened Rabbit were recently the featured musical act on Conan, where they pulled out “The Woodpile” from their latest album Pedestrian Verse.

The band began their latest tour on March 8 in Seattle before wrapping up April 13 in Dallas.

Dhani Harrison appeared last night on Conan to discuss the new The Guitar Collection: George Harrison iPad app last night that features his father’s most famous guitars. Jimmy Vivino and Conan Cover Cash With Chris Isaak

Chris Isaak stopped by the set of Conan recently to perform with host Conan O’Brien and Basic Cable Band leader Jimmy Vivino.

But the song they played was from another legend’s catalog, as Isaak and Co. offered a spot-on rendition of Johnny Cash’s 1963 hit “Ring of Fire.”

Isaak chose to put that tune on Beyond the Sun, his 2011 tribute to the iconic artists at Sun Records, such as Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and Cash himself.

Indie rockers Portugal. The Man made their national television debut last night on Conan, performing “So American,” the opening track to summer 2011′s In the Mountain in the Cloud.

The Transplants Perform on Conan

The Transplants dropped by Conan on Monday night to  perform “Saturday Night” off Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker’s new solo album Give the Drummer Some. The appearance featured Barker (obviously) behind the drums, Gretsch signature artist Tim Armstrong on guitar and vocals, Skinhead Rob on more vocals and legendary DJ Mix Master Mike.
