Elvis Week Continues on Letterman with Brandon Bennett

The Elvis Presley showcase continued this week on The Late Show with David Letterman with a fiery performance of “Hound Dog” by Brandon Bennett.
Bennett, who was accompanied by Gretsch artist Wyatt Maxwell, is currently playing the role of “The King” in the Chicago-based production of “Million Dollar Quartet,” which celebrates the spirit of a recording session that included Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Presley. (more…)

Cody Ray Slaughter Kicks off Elvis Week on Letterman

As the youngest person ever to be named an Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Cody Ray Slaughter has made a name for himself for his version of “The King.”
As such, it was fitting that Slaughter kicked off the Can’t Help Falling in Love with Elvis Week on The Late Show with David Letterman with a performance of “Jailhouse Rock.”
Slaughter, who is currently in the touring production of “The Million Dollar Quartet,” dressed the part in jailhouse stripes and black jacket and jeans while shaking his hips just like Presley. In addition, Slaughter was accompanied by Gretsch artist Wyatt Maxwell on the guitar. (more…)
