Roddy Hart was recently booked for a week-long residence on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson with his band the Lonesome Fire, and the Scottish singer/songwriter definitely brought the heat.
One of the highlights of the residency was the single “Bright Light Fever,” which comes off Roddy Hart and the Lonesome Fire’s self-titled 2013 album. That performance prompted Ferguson to exclaim, “There’s your Glasgow rock and roll right there!”

Performing in front of a crowd that was ready to rock, Switchfoot sounded tight as ever when they pulled out “Say It Like You Mean It” and “When We Come Alive.”

Portugal. The Man and Local Natives were the featured acts on a recent episode of Austin City Limits, and both bands definitely delivered the goods.
While Portugal. The Man played past hits like “Sleep Forever,” they also highlighted several new tracks off latest album Evil Friends.
As for Local Natives, they performed the haunting “Columbia” off 2013′s Hummingbird and also called back to previous gems like “Airplanes.”

Award-winning Malian singer/songwriter Rokia Traore released her fifth studio album Beautiful Africa in April of last year, and as she traveled to promote it, she stopped into the studios of KCRW in Los Angeles for a live performance.
Now, video of Traore playing one song from that appearance on Morning Becomes Eclectic has surfaced online.

Hard Working Americans is a new supergroup that includes Neal Casal (above) of the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, singer/songwriter Todd Snider, Dave Schools from Widespread Panic and Duane Trucks.
Earlier this year, the band released a self-titled debut album covering 11 tracks by a wide range of well-known artists. As such, the Hard Working Americans recently stopped by the set of Conan to perform a rocking version of “Stomp and Holler,” which was written by country luminary Hayes Carll.
