Stump Shares New Solo Album Details
Posted: November 18, 2010
Gretsch signature artist Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy fame has announced new details regarding his solo album. Soul Punk should be out in February, Stump told MTV News via email, also noting that it’s “changed dramatically from the album I alluded to a year ago.”
Stump also promised MTV that the album’s first single, “Spotlight,” will be heard soon. In the meantime, Stump has shared the handwritten sheet music for the song here.
“As for the delay of the album itself, I’d say it’s been less about the music or recording and more about all the other things that finish the thought,” he wrote to MTV. “I just want to make sure I go to sleep at night knowing I’m not half-assing this.”
There’s certainly no half-assing going on in this video of Stump in the studio back in January 2010.
