When Gretsch begins selling an Electromatic price-level hollowbody bass, I'll be the first to buy one. :D

I just received my Junior Jet bass. Been away from playing bass for many years and just venturing back in. If all goes well and I enjoy it, I will certainly be looking at the Thunderjet. But some time Needs to be spent with the Junior Jet first :D

I have a Gretsch Broadkaster bass, orange finish. GREAT bass, fantastic tone and looks.

I have TI flats on mine, and it sounds really cool played through my Ampeg B50R and B100R combos.

I bought the Korean made Electromatic Gretsch bass (model G123B) at Guitar Center on Tuesday. I have a gig Saturday and will give feedback on its performance soon. So far it blows away my Fender Jazz. Much richer tone and easier playability. What a beautiful guitar!

Okay! The gig went great and this guitar plays really well. I have the action set lighter than my Fender Jazz and have to get used to that. You have to really hush the strings especially at higher volumes. This thing makes you practice better control, but is easier to play than the Jazz. This is not the best guitar to do slap on. The tone is much richer than the Jazz. Comments from the band and audience was all positive. We all love this guitar. I did not have any cutting out problems as described on other sites. If I ever do have problems, I know to look at the solder work on the pots. I found that you need to have a lighter touch on slides to have them sound right. Again, this is a whole different animal than a Jazz!

As a guitarist/drummer/synth player, I needed to get an inexpensive bass for my recordings (faking it on the synth just isn't cutting it anymore) so I recently bought the Electromatic Junior Jet Bass and was surprised at how easy it was to play and how great it sounded! My only issue is, and I'm hoping somebody here can point me in the right direction, I can't seem to find a hardshell case to fit this bass. Any suggestions?

Try fitting it into a case made by Road Runner. Guitar Center offers these cases. My Electromatic Bass fits nicely in this case. TripD at www.groovehawks.com

At Genshi, I had same dilemma finding a hardshell case for my Electromatic Junior Jet Bass, but found that a les paul guitar case fits it. A little snug, but it works.

The specs for the Junior Jet II say Nickel-Plated Steel (NPS), Gauges .045-.105
Not sure of the brand.
