Ed Roland hails from Stockbridge, GA and is the founding member of the rock band Collective Soul. The band has sold over 10 million albums in its 2-decade history and continues to sell out venues around the world. Collective Soul has experienced high levels of mainstream success with numerous radio hits and gold and platinum selling albums, on which Roland is often the primary writer and producer. As a  BMI award winning songwriter, Ed  has charted 7 #1 singles on Rock Radio as well as numerous other hits. Songs include “Gel”, “Better Now”, “Heavy”, “Hollywood”, “Shine”, “The World I Know”, “December” and many more.  The band was recently embraced by a new generation of listeners when their song “Tremble My Beloved” was featured in the hit movie Twilight and its multi-platinum soundtrack.  Ed was recently inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, and continues to give back to his hometown through various charitable and philanthropic causes. Ed is currently also recording music for a side project entitled The Sweet Tea Project, which is due to release music in 2012.
