Unconvential Recording
- Nash has strayed from the beaten studio path when it comes to recording albums. His debut New York Town was recorded in Manhattan at the Magic Chop.
- Barn Doors was rented at a house called “Harvard Farm” in the heart of the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York.
"I got together gear and a trailer, and we recorded in the barn on the property with the doors wide open the whole time,” he explained. “I have since been sold on this idea of getting away and being submerged in the recording process. It’s an amazing way to make albums.”
- For Rain Plains, Nash began building a studio on his ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas, and used a Studer 16-track 2 analog tape machine to intentionally avoid the use of modern digital recording technology.
- Plum Creek Sound is now fully operational and Nash invites other bands to come out and record.
